Juhuu Father Roderick

Greetings from Germany
Bye Bye Moritz
I have not even listened yet and I am sure it will be the best one ever!
Welcome back!
Glad you’re back! I hope you got some good rest.
Wow…..I was getting used to NOT looking for my morning Daily Breakfast and had started becoming addicted to other Podcasts…..
I do certainly remember the “good old days” of two weeks past, and quite honestly, I’ll probably just slide right back into the saddle again with DB #114.
It is good to see you back Father….I can’t wait to hear what you have to say.

WOOHOOO! Daily Breakfast!!!!
I have NEVER been so happy to download an episode. Talk about “you don’t know what you got till its gone!”
I hope you had a great rest Father Roderick – but we missed you! Welcome back.

Woo-hoo! You’re back! Hope you are all rested and raring to go for a good long time now — I was suffering withdrawals! It’s tough going cold turkey, as you also found out, but I am glad that you took the time off completely ;^)
PS can you post the book title and author that was recommended in this podcast?
Welcome back, Father Roderick!!! I hope you enjoyed your spring break and that you are now well rested!
WOOO! Roderick’s back in business, baby!
I haven’t heard this episode yet, but I’m sure it’ll be fabulous.

YAY Fr. Roderick is back! I just got the episode as I left early today and just arrived home. So I will listen to it tomorrow. Consequently my other 44 podcasts will start piling up, because there are some that just trump all others.
Um yeah, that was super great. I was beginning to worry when it wasn’t in my iTunes when I got up…but I had faith! Thanks for coming back full steam. can’t wait to listen again with another new episode TOMORROW.
I jumped for joy!
Our Daily Breakfast is back!
Thank you Thank you Thank you Father
We were beginning to get withdrawal symptoms.
Dear Father Roderick, we missed you very much. It’s great that you’re back.
Secretly I catched myself asking, if you really will be back…
And then on Sunday, I saw this new energizing image on the top of the page. And immediately I had to smile
Will he be back on Monday?
So, I checked SQPN about 10 times on Monday – and the doubts came back: Would Fr. Roderick post an episode?
An then, late in the evening, I saw my iTunes Podcast folder: DB 114
Welcome back! The weather is rainy outside, but the podcast sun is shining brighter than ever!
Thank you for everything!
Thank God; you’re back. I missed you. A lot.
Good to have you back! This morning, while listening to you, I had my best breakfast in weeks…
Martin

Hi Father,
I have not listened, yet. But welcome back!!
Peter
I am so glad you’re back! It was a nice surprise to see a new episode downloading. I can’t wait to hear more about your experiences on the train.
I cannot believe what you said about orange juice! What is this world coming to??
Hooray! Welcome back Fr. Rod. Glad to hear you had a good time with your family. Please take a sabbatical whenever you need to, as long as you keep going!
God bless!
Father Roderick,
It is great to have you back! In your absence I was reminded often of what a reasoned and compassionate voice you bring to any conversation, putting forth a Catholic point of view, but not disparaging the viewpoints of others. In doing that you do the Catholic community a great service. I’ve been following the controversy regarding The Da Vinci Code with great interest. I read the book when it first came out and was immediately aware that there were a number of factual errors in the book. What I have found fascinating and disturbing, however, is the enthusiasm with which the story has been embraced by a large part of the public. When I was in the checkout line at the store buying a copy of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, the clerk asked me if I had read The Da Vinci Code. When I replied in the affirmative, she responded enthusiastically, telling me that she had read the book six times and couldn’t wait for the movie. There wasn’t time for a long conversation as there were a number of people in line. So I told her that I had really enjoyed going online and finding out what parts of the story were true and which ones weren’t and that it was amazing what authors could do to change things to make a story work. We parted cordially, and hopefully she had something to think about as a result of the conversation. Obviously, if she had read the book six times, it was something that she felt strongly about. If I had started telling her that people who believed this stuff had been taken in by a giant falsehood and were foolish to believe it, she would have tuned me out in an instant. Unfortunately, that strident tone of calling people who are fans of the book or who believe it, gullible at best and stupid at worst is gaining momentum and when that happens, everyone loses. We are dismissed as intolerant and sanctimonious. They are offended and close themselves off from hearing about the inaccuracies of the book. So, welcome back, Father Roderick. Your podcast lets people around the world see a wonderfully positive, human, and compassionate view of Catholicism. Your openness and respect for the viewpoints of others and your inclusiveness opens peoples ears. As I heard my son say his to friends, “He’s funny and a regular guy AND he’s a priest.”

“pulp” is the solid stuff found in orange juice.
Oh, welcome back.
Missed you but you should do this more often so you can have needed breaks AND so we can appreciate you when you’re gone.
Peace!
Welcome back! Been listening for some time but have never commented before.
This was the most interesting podcast personally. You touched on issues near and dear or currently on-going in our house.
I am a re-vert facing quite a bit of anti-Catholic foolishness in my home and among friends. Just this past week I was trying to show my 13 year that the history book he was reading was wrong regarding the Pope and Hitler. But no matter how much evidence you come up with.. they still want to believe the Church sided with Hilter! My dh is the worst offender of this.
Next is the ’secret’ archives and the Churche’s supposed habit of hiding the truth from the people down through the ages… geesh!! Please keep this great info coming and when they start to publish this info I would LOVE to know ASAP.
We have just recently taken the journey down the path you are embarking on. In the end we have ended up eating as much whole, organic, homemade foods as possible and for fats, cold pressed organic olive oil and IF I fry, which is rare now, I use virgin coconut oil which holds up under heat and is GOOD good for you! Be sure you read up on that.
My youngest daughter has down syndrome and even though she has an extra chromosome, I still think of her as ‘normal’
I know it seems to be nitpicking with words and all but you might want to consider refering to people with out disabilities as ‘typical’ as opposed to ‘normal’. It really seems like a small thing, but sometimes the way we talk influeneces how we think too.
One last item! People with disabilities.
This same daughter is the one who started us on the food journey. Food changed her life!! It can help autism, chronic bowel problems and even reduce seizures. I would never have believed food could improve all of body functions in such a way if I hadn’t seen it with my very own eyes.
The diet she follows is called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and it’s able to work miracles with just elimating sugars and grains.

Sorry for the crummy spelling… can’t spell on a good day!!
Glad you are back, but I think you should take breaks more often! Can tell you really benefited from the rest.
Hi Fr Roderick, great to have you back! I missed your Daily Breakfast! Your discipline in not using your Minidisc recorder is admirable though it meant no DB for us.
You are back again!!!
Hi Roderick,
Dan Browns initials are the same as the ‘initials’ of our favorite podcast! I see a conspiracy there!
However, the Da Vinci Code has been debunked so very often now, and that may all start over now. Dan Brown is an author of fiction, and interpreting his favorite historic documents as he sees fit.
Keep in mind though that historic facts which are presented even by the Vatican or university scholars, are interpretations of historic documents /word of mouth too. They are far more likely to be more close to the truth than Dan Browns’, but even so, they still are interpretations.
Knowing the Real Truth is difficult if not impossible for us humans.
Anyway, Roderick, it’s nice to have you back after this while. In a way I could actually use a short DB-break, I was rather tired myself and even had built up a backlog of DBs.

Welcome back! Missed you during my commutes. As a filler, I’ve been listening to the Narnia series on the iPod. Take some pride that it took the likes of C.S. Lewis to fill your shoes.
Glad to have you back! Glad to hear you had a great vacation.
Tuesday morning, I went out the door and turned on my iPod and much to my surprise there was a new Daily Breakfast on it. Hadnt noticed that a new episode was downloaded to iTunes and onto my iPod. A very pleasent surprise, since this is a very nice show. You sure sound replenished
.
Great to have you back father Roderick
I love today’s Thought of the day!
