With apologies to Steve Martin’s The Jerk:
“The new Rosary Army podcast is here! The new Rosary Army podcast is here! I’m a star! I’m a star!”
Sorry to take you back to the dentist’s chair, Greg. At least you didn’t have to participate directly! Thanks again for your podcasts and your apostolate as a whole.

Hey Jennifer,
Just wanted offer some insight on your crazy dreams
eating the fish = something that is hard to swallow
Perhaps that fish represented the way you felt about the Ninjipod thing or the place you were in physically and the feelings assoicated with it.
The football stuff might be what Greg said - sometimes the mind sees things and stores it and at night the mind “empties the garabage” But perhaps you saw something that reminded you about happy sports memories.
Here’s the other thing that I thought immediately when you said it was boys versus girls - the battle of the sexes.
What I can say about the transition in the dream from football to fish - you probably woke up briefly or changed REM cycles and that could be reason for the drastic change
There are lots of dream theories out there -
a) what greg said - subconscience garabage dumps where it’s a random mix of things your mind pulls out
b) that the mind picks memories to replay
c) remember how many dreams in the Bible were prophetic? Sometimes, maybe that’s how God can get through. Also, many ideas and inventions came from dreams… one that comes to mind is Shelley’s Frankenstein came from a dream
d) Perhaps dreams may bring to the conscious mind things buried in the subconsious so that those feelings can be more readily addressed. It’s much easier for the body to feel sad in a dream than allowing yourself that same raw sadness or anger awake. Humans tend to bury their emotions - perhaps dreams draw those emotions out to deal with them.
I tend to subscribe to all those theories at one time or another. But I think it is important to talk about how you felt during the dream and how it related to what was going on in the dream and what is going in your life.
Don’t discount symbolism …
Falling= fear of losing control.
teeth falling out = lots of changes.
new baby = birth of a new idea
ok, I’ve rambled.. hopes this helps.
Jennifer,
I can relate to your dreams. I too have crazy dreams. My husband is always amzazed about my weirdness of my dreams. I admit my dreams became stranger when I started to have children. Maybe crazy dreams are a gift or curse to all mothers. I love your show, keep up the great work.
