New Catholic Insider Series

I have selected and edited a number of new audio documentaries and soundseeing tours that I will share with you during the next couple of weeks. This new Catholic Insider series will take us back to Italy, where we will explore the surroundings of Rome and the city itself. We will start at the Porta Asinaria near the city wall and the Via Appia Nuova in Rome, not far from the oldest basilica in Rome, the famous San Giovanni in Laterano, Saint John Lateran. This basilica dates back to the fourth century, the time of the Roman emperor Constantine. It’s one of those places in Rome where time seems to stand still, and where ancient history comes alive again…

I didn’t realize how much I missed the Catholic Insider shows! Listening to today’s show brought me back to the last time I went to Rome. Oh how I must go back!
Dear Fr. Roderick,
Thank you. I can’t wait to listen to the new shows.
Jack
Father,

The crown of podcasting! There is nothing like the Catholic Insider!
With this show’s start back in 2005 you hit the peak of all SQPN podcasting activities right at the beginning. There is nothing like the Catholic Insider. It’s more than “just” a soundseeing tour.
Please go on with the Insider, even if this means a short break for the Daily Breakfast.
And if there is someone, who does not know this podcast, then you can find a real treasure hidden on the Catholic Insider Series page. Every single episode is worth listening.
The CI is the only podcast, I would never delete after I did listen to the episode. And I have listened to those first episodes from March to April 2005 over and over again.
Thank you!
Dear Fr. Roderick,
Great there is a now CI episode. I agree that if keeping this podcast alive would means a couple of days without a Daily Breakfast, I don’t mind.
But could you keep the date (or episode number) in the CI filename?
Wooo Hoooo! Mmmmmmm. Catholic Insider auuugh. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that CI was back. This is by far the best podcast of the whole SQPN line up. I almost feel as if I am there with you Father. You have an amazing gift for story telling. I laugh at the small details you include espcially the story of crossing with the infamous Italian traffic. As I fund raising idea how about a “Best of CD” I would put the whole series on the passing of JPII and the instalation of B16. The infamous airport incident and what ever else the fans would vote on. just a thought. God Bless

Great to see more CI! Like one of the commenters above, I’ve listened to those episodes from early 2005 many times.
Cannot *wait* to hear St. John Latern: goose bumps thinking about it!
Glad to see CI is back in action.
This is you at your best, Father…
So, when do you go to Istanbul and Ephesus and Hagia Sophia… ;-}??
Peace today!
Like “Lost,” perhaps you should pick a certain day of the week to upload the most recent CI?
Many weekly podcasts I listen to release on a certain day (often Sunday or Monday) so perhaps you should choose a day.
In honor of Lost, here in the US it was on Wednesdays…
Thank you for bringing back this series. I really miss the Catholic Insider. I have listened to some of the early episodes many times and enjoy them greately. Please continue to produce these shows.
