  1. Hey, Father Roderick,

I’m getting a 404 error from libsyn on this one…

    thanks,
    Mark

  2. So am I…

  3. Ah, that means you were attempting to listen via the website, right? There was an error in the link. It’s fixed now. But I recommend listening to podcast via a podcatcher like iTunes (www.itunes.com) or Winpodder (www.winpodder.com)

  4. Thanks, Father. I think I was checking it on the website, because it hadn’t showed up in iTunes yet. (It’s there now, though.)

    Thanks again,
    Mark

  5. Somehow the download via iTunes doesn’t work either: I even unsubscribed and subscribed again, but I just don’t get the latest episode…… ;-(

  6. After my direct “Subscribtion via iTunes” had failed, I tried to copy-paste the link “http://feeds.feedburner.com/catholicinsider” into iTunes:

    and it works !!!! ;-) ;-)

  7. It’s strange that you all did have problems with iTunes. It worked fine for me on December 10, at about 8 am (CET).

By the way: interesting as always!

  8. Dear Fr. Roderick,
First of all, thank you for taking us again to the Basilica of San Giovanni Laterano. It was such a great sound seeing tour. I can’t wait to go there myself and see its spender! :) Second of all, I had no problem downloading the episode. Third of all, this is not a negative comment, but when you talked about embroided banner at the cloister of St. John Lateran, you mentioned the names St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist intermittently. I was a little bit confused. I am not sure if you were really talking about St. John the Evangelist, bucause having to Johns on the same banner isn’t too likely…. After all, St. John Lateran is dedicated to St. John the Baptist, isn’t it?
Again, thank you so much for everything you do and God bless.
    Jack

  9. Jack, there were two banners: one with pictures of the life of St. John the Evangelist, and another banner with pictures of St. John the Baptist.

  10. Thanks Fr. Roderick, I must have missed a few things here and there when I listened to the sound seeing tour. I will go back to your recording and get it straight sometimes. One more question, father, is taking pictures inside the Basilica allowed? I imagine with some ancient fabric banners, the administration must be quite protective of their treasures. But in the mean time, I really want to see what the banners look like.

  11. When I listen to the podcast on San Giovanni Laterano it cuts out before the end. I downloaded it via iTunes, am I doing something wrong? I enjoyed your description of crossing the road Italian style. Merry Christmas from Leeds, England.

  12. Fr. Roderick,
Thanks for this podcast. It brought back happy memories of a long visit to St. John Lateran during my pilgrimage prior to the last World Youth Day. I wish that you had prepared yourself for this particular visit. The “cage” you described above the main altar is actually a reliquary containing the heads of Peter and Paul!
