I just love your Catholic Minute podcasts! It was really nice to see how your studio is coming along, and to see a bit of Europe through your windows! Keep up the great work that you are doing
Father – Are you filming with your iSight, or is your camcorder on a tripod?
Great space. Can’t wait to see it finished.
You should name the studio. Roderick Ranch?
Fascinating little video podcasts, well done Fr Roderick!
@Greg: the Catholic Minute videos are made with a very cheap Logitech webcam connected to my PC. The webcam sits on top of my old CRT monitor. All super low-budget
I must say – these Catholic Minute videos are an excellent idea – it’s nice to have a face to the voice
and also interesting to see what’s going on in the SQPN world
I cannot *wait* for Father to sing a song for us. I’m hoping for St. Valentine’s Day… ;-}
Maybe that’s the big secret project – Father Roderick Vonhögen, music video star!
Don’t hold your breath.
Hi Father, I see you don’t have curtains at the window, what about escaping heat and draughts? I’m English and our homes are draughty.
We still have to buy curtains. The house is well insulated though, double glass windows etc.
Fr. Roderick,
Hey…, you used my animation! I thought you had forgotten about me. Together with the voice-over, I thought it looked great.
I think the “Catholic Minute” has great potential. Looking forward to the next one already. I would like to make a couple of suggestions, however, if you don’t mind.
First, I’m not sure if this is a function of the beta version of this Video CastBlaster you’re using, but can you set up your video clips to stream so we’re not waiting for the entire clip to download before it starts playing?
And second – and this is VERY minor – but I keep clicking on the large graphic or photo to watch each episode, but the images are not links. It’s the biggest target, and it would be nice if the images linked to the video clips as well.
Again, minor – but hopefully – constructive criticisms of a very promising new project. Keep up the great work!
Hi Father, I’m hoping that one day you could put together a special podcast or vidcast containing the bloopers you make during the shows (I’m assuming there are some!). Maybe you could give them away in exchange for donations during the next fund drive?
love the outro. Dr Paul has a voice for broadcasting that’s for sure!
Father,
concerning “streaming”, i only see it as an *additional* option but not as an replacement of the physical download.
I prefer the actual download of the video clips – as it is now. Hey, downloading to a local device is what podcasting is all about, isn’t it ?
