I just love this “Catholic Minute” video podcasts. Can’t wait to get an Apple TV to watch this show in my living room………
I had a lot of fun putting it together. Please pray for me as I am a Macoholic and these pilgimages to “Jerusalem” don’t help me break my addiction. Bumping into Steve Jobs was akin to encountering a movie star. “Ah! The Godfather! There he is.” Okay, I’m just kidding. I just love the gagetry and Macs are simple to use.
The show is much larger than previous years and using both halls of the Moscone center. It has been three years since they used both halls. I have usually seen everything in one day. This time it will take two days.
The video was done on iMovie on my 1 GHz Powerbook G4. I’ve been very happy with it as it is my work computer and this was my first video done on it. It didn’t crash a single time in the process, but was pretty slow comared to what I am used to for video editing: my PowerMac G5. Now, I wish my laptop was one of the faster Intel-based laptops. I’m just waiting for a 12″ model like the one I have. Small, portable, and light.
Okay, so now I’m gonna have to get a mac…yes I’m converting back to the light side…but I can’t until I can afford a good macbookpro…with all necessary software…sigh.
Great job, Fr. Bill. I am so envious - I’ve been a Mac Addict since 1986 and haven’t yet been to a MacWorld Expo. The Keynote address introducing the iPhone was very cool. Looks like I’ll be switching my cellular service come June. Only 140 days to go — http://iphonecountdown.com/

I want a new cell phone… guess what my favorite phone is… It started with a modest iPod shuffle (512MB), now I want an iPhone, an iBook and an iMac…
Sigh…
Is it really that bad that the iPhone isn’t released until June? Not that I want to throw down the old guilt trip, but there are a billion or two people in the world who don’t even get a full meal every day, much less having the luxury of looking forward to paying $600 for a wide-screen iPod/cellphone/Internet communications device.
So I guess that sounds like a guilt trip anyway. But sometimes we just need to keep things in perspective. It’s not the end of the world
