  1. Text-based adventures are far from dead. According to a BBC radio programme I heard last year, online multi-user text-based worlds have a loyal following, but I can’t remember the names of any of them.
You might like to try an interactive version of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
(A comment preview option would be helpful!)

  2. @Father- You do realize that this is the last season of LOST, right? At least that’s what I heard on the tv guide podcast…

  3. @Pat, from what I read in an interview with the producers on the Entertainment Weekly website, they are planning for at least a 4th season.

  4. It would be New Zealanders or Kiwis (after the bird).

  5. There is hope for Potter fans :o )

JKR said in an interview with The Leaky Cauldron, that if she were to write another book on the Harry Potter series it would be an encyclopedia in which she would give the definite biography of all the characters.

  6. Hi! Loved your show, Father! I have never read any of the Harry Potter books, but I have watched one movie. It was very good. I have thought of reading the books and I will someday.

  7. As a Catechists myself, I find the Peculiar Bunch to be helpful.

  8. Thankfully, we Star Wars fans still have the TV series to look forward to. I like Potter, but he will never ever take the place of my childhood hero, Luke Skywalker. :)

  9. @Chris I play a text based game and love it. It’s called Achaea and it has a frighteningly loyal following. It is one of four text games produced by a parent company.

That Hitchhiker game is very basic in comparison to many text based games today. Most of them rely on working with other people instead of interacting with an environment.

  10. I just ran across this on Digg. You can play the old text based games online. See

  11. When is that Chinese MMORPG going to be available? I am taking Chinese classes now, and this would be a great study aid. I could even get away with playing a videogame at work!
