@Father- I can understand how Jesus’s words via Matthew would point to consequences for certain of our actions. But the “age to come” doesn’t at all lead me to the concept of purgatory. I have always found the idea of purgatory one of the most difficult to comprehend, especially when we see all the suffering that some people already endure here in this realm of our existence. Is this suffering part of our purgatory then?
