CST #39: Holy Spring Week

Holy Week

This week: Is it a Spring Holy Break or a Holy Spring Week? I guess that’s up to us. Mac’s on Spring Break and we contemplate Holy Week and the letting go of self, while Katherine contemplates when a good time would be to let Sam let go of nursing. Oh and Colby talks about the new Tahoe.

  1. hehe I didn’t mean “not working for me” as in “that was terrible” but instead meant the download wasn’t working for me :). Although I kind of wish I had meant it the way you took it as put the two comments together and it is kinda funny! Relax, it “worked” just fine even if you did sound drunk :)

  2. Loved the self-sacrifice piece. I can so relate - “Children are a blessing. I love my life.” Cracked me up!

  3. I usually listen to podcasts at night, in bed, after the girls are tucked in, the dish washer is loaded and running, and I have cleared the emergency exit paths of my home from any legos, doll shoes, and any other potencial hazards. WELL, I can’t listen to your podcast in bed anymore, you are just TOO FUNNY, and I can’t keep myself from laughing, and that keeps my dh awake (he is a light sleeper!) …anyway, enjoy the Spring Break! You know we only have 3 or 4 weeks of real Spring weather here in the South, and then it’s HOT & STICKY all the way to Thanksgiving!

  4. Hey, Mac and Katherine,

I really enjoyed this episode and the way you said there was an option for Holy Week–business as usual, or actually do something! Marvellous stuff.

I might blog about this later–you have been warned! ;-)

  5. I had to write you two a quick note to let you know that you two are hilarious. I typically listen while on my subway ride from suburban Maryland to work in Washington,DC. I find myself cracking up. You two fit each other like hand in glove. BTW, you two sometimes make me feel old with your jokes about episode number 30. I’m just slightly older than Greg & Jennifer so take it easy on us older folks. I am a cradle Catholic, married to a cradle Baptist. We have a 3 year old daughter and I can certainly identify with your discussion on self sacrifice. I also know a thing or two about squid ‘rastling during Mass. I have it slightly easier than you two, since I only have one. Also, my dad is a permanent deacon at our parish, so the easiest way to get her to pay attention during Mass is to say, “Look up there at grand daddy.” She loves that. I am very fortunate to belong to a parish full of understanding folks that love when parents bring their little children to Mass. No shooshing here. I get a lot of older people that say to me, “Keep bringing her. I know it’s tough, but keep bringing her to Mass.”

    Great podcast as usual.
