  8. Happy Birthday, Father Roderick. I have not seen the PS3 yet, but I would say based on what I have heard, this is yet another in a series of horribly planned business decisions by Sony. Pretty much ever since the sucesses of the redesigned, smaller PS3 and maybe the Bravia line of displays, everything Sony has touched in consumer electronics has turned to mud. They keep failing in trying to reclaim a leading position in portable music players, as nothing has even made a dent in the iPod’s market. They squandered the phenomenal technology in the PSP by keeping the media for it limited to their proprietary UMDs or memory sticks and by failing to get game developers to make enough titles for it to interest users and sustain the market. Now they came out with a tremendously delayed PS3 with far fewer features than originally announced, and they still don’t have enough games made for it. Based on that, I would say the safe bet is against Sony for the time being. It is really sad to see a name that used to be synonymous with technological excellence and coolness simply drive itself into relative cultural irrelevance.

  9. Happy Birthday Father!

  10. @Father- Happy Birthday, Happy Easter and Happy kidney purge. Most stones are calcium/oxolate. Mine are. What’s supposed to help is a low oxolate diet and calcium supplements. Some people who get lots of stones are also low in magnesium and Vitamin D. More and more studies are being done on the importance of Vitamin D in staving off Alzheimer’s, cancer and various other illnesses. Very much worthwhile for everyone to get their Vitamin D level checked.
    Continued blessings to you.

  11. A very Happy Birthday to you Father!!!
A wish you a wonderful, blessed, and healthy year.

    love from,
    Christina

  12. Happy 39th birthday, Father! And I wish that you will have a kidney stone free year.
