What exactly is a “hayseed”. I’m assuming it’s not an agricultural grain. Being from southern Kansas where my grade school teachers carpooled from Texas, across the Oklahoma panhandle, I don’t remember being called a hayseed. My dad is West Indian and my mom from North Dakota, that means I grew up with a North Dakotan, Caribbean and Texan accent all melded together. I was called a few things, but not a hayseed. Please inform me to the origins of the term and its proper usage. May God Bless Your Family. Krishna.
