  1. Hi Fr. Roderick,
Thanks for the great show. I really enjoy it. I have encountered a problem, though. My iTune also downloaded the first 18 minutes of the episode. Could you tell me what to do? Thanks and God bless.
    Jack

  2. I’m also having problems downloading the show. It shows up in my list and it tries to download, but gets nowhere. Then is times out and shows up in my list with a “get” button next to it. The error message then appears and says that the network connection was reset. I’ve tried twice. I will try again later. Sorry to bother you.

  3. Hi Fr. Roderick,

You mentioned in an earlier podcast about delays etc. I am US west coast servers and do not even see the podcast yet. Is this an issue between libsyn and apple?

    Anyway, great podcast!!!!

    God Bless.

  4. It’s probably Libsyn, since I had no problems downloading the file. You can email them or try again later..

  5. Thank you Father for that spoiler free review. My kids and I can’t wait to see Spiderman this weekend in Los Angeles!

  6. looking forward to hearing you talk about cassocks Father :-)

  7. Was unable to play the ep through a regular player, but it played fine through the browser just by going to libsyn. Very odd.

Nice to hear the dulcet tones of Dr Paul on the DB! Take it from a fellow saint enthusiast, if you haven’t checked the SaintCast, you should click to it now.

  8. Guess what happened when I tried to download this episode? It downloaded DB #258, 259 and 260! Then a message came up for DB #296 that iTune stopped downloading this podcast because I haven’t listened to the Daily Breakfast in awhile. That’s nuts!

  9. Regarding the guy with the Russian windows and iTunes, I heard on one of Leo Laporte’s shows that first installing quicktime seperately and then installing iTunes prevents these type of problems. Otherwise, Father’s suggestion to reinstall the system might be the wisest.

Personally I prefer the combo juice / winamp, seems to be a much better podcatcher than iTunes, especially if I see all the trouble in previous comments.

  10. Ironically, no comments about the new feature on the show… I like it very very much. Interviewing other SQPN podcasters, especially those shows that I don’t normally listen to, get me interested in listening. You are doing a double service! You’re promoting the shows and giving me some insight into the presenters and their products.

    Thanks!!

  11. Lately, iTunes has been slow and strange with podcast downloads. So, I have gone back to my *daily* podcasts being listened to on Winpodder. Weekly ones I still receive through iTunes. Music is what mostly fills my iPod.

  12. I haven’t had any issues with iTunes, but in Jack’s case I’ve heard that when iTunes can’t finish a download for whatever reason, it just saves whatever it was able to download. So that’s how you end up with an incomplete download. You just have to delete it, then go to the Daily Breakfast page in iTunes (click the arrow next to Daily Breakfast in your list of podcasts) and manually download the show.

  13. I really liked the interview with Dr Paul, this format suites your show, a short heads up on the other sqpn programs talking about the previous or next shows for me your daily program seems like the ideal vehicle, so instead of publicising big media’s programming you can help out your own network.

Keep up the good work, god bless you, and all the people helping to make sqpn what it is today.
