“May the Fourth Be With You”

For many fans of George Lucas’ Star Wars saga, May 4 is ‘Star Wars Day’.
PRESS RELEASE
Conyers, GA, MAY 4, 2007 - To celebrate Star Wars Day, the popular Catholic podcast network SQPN has launched a new series of podcasts about the religious themes and the mythology of Star Wars, hosted by Fr. Roderick Vonhögen.
“George Lucas used many religious themes and symbols in Star Wars,” explains Fr. Roderick. “From the similarities between the birth of Anakin Skywalker and the birth Jesus, to the theme of sin and redemption. This new series of podcasts highlights these religious elements hidden in the story about that galaxy far, far away”.
New insights
“The new podcast series can give Star Wars fans new insights into the saga, and they can learn something about the Christian faith in the process,” says Fr. Roderick, a long time fan of the Star Wars films. “The podcast will make you look at these well known movies with new eyes, helping you enjoy them even more when you know how many interesting religious and moral themes are hidden below the surface.”
Fr. Roderick is founder and CEO of SQPN inc., an international Catholic multimedia organization focusing on Catholic evangelization and education. Its website, www.sqpn.com, hosts nearly 30 catholic audio and video podcasts, and reaches a worldwide audience of an estimated 100,000 people.
Information and links to subscribe to ‘Secrets of Star Wars’ can be found at www.sqpn.com, the home of the Star Quest Production Network.

I thought it was “May the Force be with you”.
I do really like the layout of this site! Thanks for all of your hard work.
You are correct, it is “May The Force Be With You.” “May The Fourth Be With You” is a play on words. Because the movies all came out on different dates, May 4th works well for Star Wars Day due to a play on words with the popular line.
