Thank you for creating this podcast, Father Roderick. Caught between two religions and being a Star Wars universe fanatic as I am, I find this very interesting. Are there only two episodes? I can only find two, “Slavery and Freedom” and “Virgin Birth”, but other people have referenced other episodes. Thank you.
I think the comparison with Moses and Jesus is a bit far-fetched. There are only slight similarities. Dozens of other analogies could be made that way. For example, Darth Vader is Abraham, because he puts all his confidence in his God, the Emperor, and he is commanded to kill his own son and he is willing and about to do it. Mmmm, maybe Lucas was thinking of God when he created the character of the evil Emperor then…? you see?
