You guys are awesome. Jennifer, love the boots. I think this is the best show yet. And your son did such a good job pretending he didn’t want to eat. It almost seemed real.
Three words Best Show Ever!(till the next one that is)
Outstanding show. My wife loves the intro, I imagine the kids will love it when they see it. Very compelling topic. Oh, and what is the background music that you used for the episode?
Under the Mercy,
Matthew S
Yeay! ‘Quench the naked’ I had forgotten about that one
It makes me want to feed, clothe and visit people! Thank you for your work. Y’all are awesome.
Fantastic guys! I love the fact that you’ve cast light on the simplicity of service and charity. It doesn’t mean it’ll be easy but it’s certainly clear
By the way Jennifer….where can I get one of those outfits? I think I should teach in one of them things
The boots are simply fantastic!
Best show by far!
(I could spend more words on it, let’s keep it simple)
Great Show! It gets better with every episode.
One small problem - the sound on the YouTube is ok but on the file I downloaded from iTunes, Jennifer’s voice is only in the right ear or speaker. I’ve tried it with the computer and my ipod to rule out hardware, it’s the same on both devices. I also downloaded it again to be sure it wasn’t a download issue.
Thanks again for all the inspiration,
Heather
Very nice ! I hope you dont eat that grub in the intro regularly :). Jennifer as Super Hero was extremely funny ! But a very nice message as well ofcourse.
One thing though, the sound was a bit weird for me, the music was in the left speaker, and the speech in the right one.
I really loved the content of this show. Whenever I hear “feed the hungry”, “clothe the naked”, etc., I always think of strangers in homeless shelters, stuff like that. It’s so obvious that it applies to the people closest to you even more. It’s because it’s so obvious that I’ve missed it and thought I wasn’t doing what Jesus was asking. Yet I find I am. Thanks for the reminder!
Hee hee . . . that food at the beginning . . . kinda reminded me of the slop we got at WYD 2002 when my daughter and I went - no wonder we ate out so often!
Definitely a great show and very well deserved to be promoted on other blogs it’s on mine.

Sorry about the audio problem. Completely my fault, though I have no idea how it happened. I’m recompiling and will put out a fixed version soonly…
You guys are doing a great job. I just love the outtakes! Your shows are wonderful catechesis!
OK, I fixed the sound. A new version has been uploaded for anyone who wants to redownload it. Sorry about that!
another great one!
but to say you aren’t a saint?
ask that crying youngster!
Does visiting the imprisoned mean like the people that committed crimes or people that were enslaved or slaves?
Quench the naked….looking that one up, yep there it is
Enjoyed your latest episode. I really liked how you addressed the fact that, as my Mom always says: “charity begins at home”. We live in a society where that seems to be forgotten (it seems everyone wants their “good” works to be noticed). Thanks for the great shows! I love your sense of humor!

@Greg,
Thanks for fixing the sound - it sounds great now!
Keep up the great work - God bless,
Heather
Oh my word, it was brilliant. Those boots… where did you ever find them?
Fashion commentary aside, I loved the content. It was a good reminder to examine how I live the Beatitudes in my daily life.
Great work again folks!
You are doing a fine job at making Catholic programming interesting.
[…] Catholic Show] Another don’t miss episode (episode 4) of “That Catholic Show” has been released. This episode focuses on Charity and Mercy. Check out Super hero Jennifer as she takes a beating […]
Love It! Love It! Love It! Thanks for the reminder that our charity begins in our own homes, setting the example to our children. It then extends to our workplaces, especially if your job is a “service” type - teachers, officers, engineers - who work for the public good and not for financial gain.
Keep up the Excellent work!

Great show! I am very impressed. Jennifer is really gaining star power and can carry an episode. I hope she doesn’t turn into a Catholic diva. Great production too - keep up the good work!
Two Words - “Under Woman”
I kept humming the Linda Carter theme and at the appropriate moment would mumble “Under Woman”.
Man, I love this show! Even though I’m not catholic, I love corny yet serious yet fun way that you do the show.
(Sorry for my spelling!)
Great episode, especially the beginning.
Many years ago, the kids at our church came up with a service project that helps those on the street corner asking for money. We give them a hopebag - a plastic bag with a meal in flip top cans, a note of love and encouragement, and a return prayer card.
Kids can write the letters and put food in the bag and the parents carry the bag in the car and hand it to people on the street.

@Steve, I so love that idea. There’s so much we CAN do, if we’d all share our ideas and get out there and do it! Thanks for sharing.

Wow!I knew that you were doing the podcast, but didn’t know about the show until I read it in the Citizen. Wow! Real “celebrities” in our own parish! Love the show. Do you have a ton of ideas for upcoming shows? Here are a few ideas: Why do we pray to Mary? Rosaries, salvation (Are Catholics saved?)Why do we baptize infants? I remember that you said that this could help RCIA, but I see another audience through the PSR, as well.By the way, I write. Let me know if you’d like to see some of my stuff. Lisa
Great show! I am looking forward to more episodes (hint hint) so that I can use them in my CCD and youth group ministry at our parish. Keep up the great work!
Thank you.
