Here is what I wrote on my site:

"I got interviewed on the Catholic Insider a while ago and my interview has just now been put up. To paraphrase Shannon Swenson who commented on my last article, “brings back memories”. The interview turned out pretty cool but I sure do mumble. Who am I, Popeye?!

A few months after that interview I was pulled back into the movie and worked for three months on it. We worked everyday on it, including weekends.

I think some of the things I said, may need some amending. I’m not exactly sure when Brad Bird began on the show or if he had anything to do with the style of the show outside of refining Side Show Bob. Maybe someone out there know a little something more about it than I do. I also left out the fact that Wes Archer was also one of the first people to work on the Tracy Ullman shorts along with David Silverman. He worked on the show until he left to become head director on King of the Hill."

My husband and I and another couple ditched my 20th high school class reunion last night to catch the opening night of The Simpsons Movie and we weren't disappointed. It's hard to breathe when you're laughing so hard you're crying. We found Luis's name in the credits -- good job!

What a great episode! It reminded me how much I always wanted to work in an animation studio. I tried a few years ago though. I love the Simpsonesque Fr. Roderick! Very cool. Can't wait for the next show.

Thanks for letting people know about my blog Father. I posted a few amendments to some things I said in the interview on my blog because I thought some things needed clarifying. Do you want me to post them here also? By the way, that Simpsonized version of you isn't very good. I'll make you one that looks better.

You can Simpsonize yourself at http://www.simpsonizeme.com
Right now the servers are a bit overwhelmed and I couldn't to get one a few days ago either (although I did upload a picture and it went into pink donut never never land).

@Michelle, The old shows were pulled from the server a while back. Sounds like they need to be removed from the feed (or added back to the server ;) )

So I was going about my own business and updating my podcast feeds when I realized that about half the Catholic Insider episodes - the early ones - were showing up in the iTunes feed but refusing to be downloaded! What's up with that? I'm sure this was discussed somewhere and I just missed it but I'd sure like to have all the episodes of the Catholic Insider in my iTunes folder through the iTunes feed.

Fr.Roderick,
How funny/coincidental that you posted this, after NPR ran a fantastic episode of Fresh Air today about the Simpsons. Here's the link, http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12241738, I encourage you to listen to the interviews with Al Jean http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12253973, and Nancy Cartwritght http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12253984.

Al Jean notes that many of the writers are Catholic, and describes himself as a lapsed Catholic. Anyway, I thought you, and the other Simpsons fans would like these links.

Cheers,
Maria
