DB#346 - Normal or Illogical?

In this show: what’s happening in Luxemburg! My first day on the diocesan summer camp. Who really wants to be ‘normal’? Box office magic for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix; saving Star Trek; the new and the old Spock; Heroes Origins; Music Man episode 17; podsafe music and the new media revolution; humility.

take a look at what this wonderful Jesuit priest, fr. jeff, is doing with young women/men in a town in NJ that has a dropout rate of 65%. They are doing exactly what fr. roderick spoke about….and their list of clients grows!
It is my prayer in the not too distant future to open a HopeWorks that will not duplicate what is being done there, but that will provide English, language skills, etc. to young people in putting together the proper language for websites, etc!
sorry, i forget the link:

What is this, Fr. Roderick? You didn’t like Heroes? I am shocked… it seemed like this show was just the kind of series that appeals to you. The fact that it is so comic-book driven from the art to the storytelling had led me to think you would be a big fan. It has now surpassed Lost for me as the best show on broadcast TV (I still acknowledge the superiority of Battlestar Galactica, but that is not on free TV here.) I love that it unfolds in the same mysterious way Lost does with all sorts of questions and mysteries, but unlike Lost, it rewards its viewers with answers more frequently and regularly. It adds new questions as well to maintain the interest level, but it doesn’t go for weeks without giving the viewer anything. Lost has done that in the past. Anyway, nothing wrong with not liking the show. I was just surprised.
Father Roderick,
If you are interested in a website that allows artists to feature themselves you might want to check out http://www.etsy.com. It’s a site for people who create crafts to sell and feature them, and it features everything from soaps and lotions to clothing to photographs to paintings and even furniture!
Talk about a revolution! I have found some brilliant and talented folks through this website - and all made possible by the internet.
I’m surprised the Simpson isn’t playing over there. In America it is advertising “Simpson’s playing world wide”
I think that is odd. I hope you are having a wonderful week.
Sad that churchgoers are so abnormal in Europe. In my part of the world (south/southwestern U.S.) churchgoers are normal and those who don’t are considered abnormal. Of course, most people here are evangelical Protestants–but it beats living with a bunch of atheists.
A bunch of atheists?
I wouldn’t really call it that, especially if you take into account that for example in Germany about 62% of the population still are official members of the big christian churches, i.e. about 31% each chatholic or prostestant. Most are just not practicing, e.g. not going to church every sunday , but only on the high feast days (Easter Sunday, Christmas, etc.)
Thanks Father Roderick for another great episode of the Daily Breakfast
@Bastian
OK, functional atheists or hedonists might have been more accurate.
