  1. F.Y.I. J.k. Rowling wrote two books “Quidditch Through The Ages” and “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” all profits from these book sales went to charity. So, it would not be surprising if J.K. Rowling did the same with the Encyclopedia.

  2. Hi Mac and Katherine. Thanks for the shoutout! And I share your frustration on the whole “press misquoting us thing”! The press and so many others don’t seem to know the heart of the Pope or the heart of the Church. I guess it’s “easier” to read a CNN byte or NBC blurb than the real thing? Sad, because the documents are beautiful… And they’re meant for us! PS, on the good Catholic Youth stuff that really is out there; I teach Scripture at a private boys school and I use Jeff Cavins’ “Great Adventure Bible Timeline.” Actually, the system for teens is called T3 (find it at http://www.ascensionpress.com). It’s awesome, and very user friendly and it focuses on the stories and covenants of scripture, drawing the teens into the drama of their own place in the Drama of salvation. PSS - the Irish accent was exquisite this time Mac. Brilliant!
    Peace,
    Bill

  3. Great show again. I help teach an adult education class in the Catholic Faith. We are going to start a series in conversion stories. Do you have a favorite conversion story? I asked Rosary Army, but I thought since you are converts yourselves. . .

  4. Krishna…look up Sheldon Vanauken’s. His conversion to Christianity is chronicled in “A Severe Mercy” and then he wrote an essay entitled “Crossing the English Channel.” Awesome. And so cool because I fell in love with “A Severe Mercy” before I even thought about the Catholic Faith. In fact, it was that book that prompted mine and Mac’s discussion when we were dating.

  5. We have Under the Mercy, the sequel to A Severe Mercy. I will buy the progenitor and give it a read. Thanks again for the great podcasts.
