  1. A little pronunciation note: “bass” is pronounced “base” (like a military base) when you are talking about sound. When you pronounce it as it looks, you are talking about a type of fish. At least in American English.

  2. ‘Bass’ is what Dutch would call ‘baars’ ;)

  3. Peace, Fr. R!

The West Wing is sorely missed in our home.

Also, truly missing The Sopranos, Shakespeare’s King Lear on television. Someday I hope you watch that as well.

Two of the *best* dramas on TV in the last 10 years.

Thanks as always for your reviews.

I think this remote control for the Touch will solve your podcast listening and navigating problems:

    and it’s inexpensive, too :)))

  5. Fr. Roderick,

If you double click on the Home button when the iPhone or iPod Touch’s screen is off or locked, it will pop up a Quick Access Overlay that will allow you to fast forward, fast rewind, playhead scribe adjustment, pause and play controls. I have version 1.1.2 on my iPhone. The To Do feature was found on my .Mac Email icon which allowed me to view my To Do list. However, I rather have a To Do List icon on the main screen instead. Maybe it will be added in the upcoming updates..We’ll see…

Hope that helps and God Bless you Father.

  6. Just catching up with some earlier episodes of the DB I was surprised to hear you talk about amazing sounds in DD5.1 stuff. Of course Star Wars sounds great with its THX sound FX etc. Nothing special so far, but I heard a colleague (I’m working in theatre and pop music sound en light engineering) talking about the sound of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. According to him (I’ve not checked this) HP3 has a fenominal sound wich won a prize for best mixed film-audio or something like that. Just thought you might like to know…
