  1. Hi Father Roderick!

One small suggestion… Would it be possible to include the name of the person whose quote you use for the Thought of the Day segment of the Daily Breakfast in the show notes? I just LOVE quotes of all kinds and use them all over the place (i.e. with my email signature). Although I would love to share the quote you mentioned today, I would have no clue as to how to spell the orginator’s name! Anyway, just a thought…

Thanks, as always, for all the amazing work you do, Father. My our Good Lord continue to shower you with His most abundant blessings. Have an awesome day!

  2. I don’t have time to do that, but you can look for yourself on http://www.quotationspage.com/data/qotd.rss

That’s where I get most of my quotes :)

  3. Hello Father Roderick,
Just a quick note to say thanks for all the episodes so far!
    Good luck for episode 400!
Also a question for the peculiar bunch: can you offer any information on the douay-Rheims bible? is this regarded as the definitive catholic version?
    Thanks and God bless.

  4. Hi, Father Roderick! Thanks for all you do! I don’t think you ever sleep! Your podcasts really are truly enjoyed by people of all ages and computer skills (or lack thereof)! I don’t know the rules for such things, but wondered if you would consider adding a link on your site called “pray-as-you-go.org”, run by the Jesuit Media Initiative UK. The site has great prayer mp3/podcasts (each day is about 10minutes with some music, some scripture, & some reflection) for weekdays.
I eagerly await the arrival of my SQPN T-shirts & hope to help advertise your site that way, too. Take care!

  5. Hi Fr. Roderick- You got your wish… grab the latest software update and you can input events into ical on your ipod TOUCH(not iTouch btw). Not quite a TO DO List, but close. It’s making many of us much happier about the Touch.

  6. Sorry for my unclear speak! That’s probably why Farther Roderick haven’t posted the link on webpage I mentioned

    But here it is:

  7. THANK YOU for telling us about PalmPowerups!!! You saved my Palm TX! I had been so frustrated with the touchscreen, to the point that I switched back to my old Tungsten E (1, not 2). I thought my TX was a goner, for sure. Handheld Wi-Fi: I’M BACK!

  8. NP! Jeff

But I must tell you and all other T|X owners that the reason why the T|X loses its calibration so fast, is because of its case is made of plastic. Said short that compared to your previously models - IT IS LOUSY!!!

The Zire 72 I gave Pater Roderric hade its case made of aluminium and so was it until T3 or T5. There they decided that plastic was the choice of casematerial - WHAT A DISAPPOINTING CHOICE!!! Grrr!!!!!!

So now I’m waiting to see if the rumors about that Apple will introduce their Newton PDA again are true? If they are then I say “Bye Palm!”
Rumors says that it will be presented to the marked late next year.

BTW! Dont be too excited over the Wi-Fi. It’s only 802,11B!!! If Wi-Fi must be usable then IT MUST BE 802,11G

To give you a understanding of why then here is some tech stats

    Data transfer rates:

    802,11B - 11Mbps

    802,11G - 54Mbps

  9. Hallo Pater Roderic and all other SQPN listeners

Here is a link to rumor I talked about in the previously post I made

  10. My head was nodding as you were talking about to do lists. I have both a Palm (mine) and a Blackberry (the office’s). I will not give up my Palm until someone creates a to do list equal to “todo plus”, a third party product. It lets me create todos which repeat. I can set them to happen on a given day of the month (the second day), the second Tuesday, monthly or yearly. It will also regenerate a todo. I need to change passwords every 30 days. I have 15 days after the 30th day before the account is locked. Todo plus will calculate 30 days from whenever I mark the item done. This is the greatest program ever. I could not keep life in any order without it!
