REALLY loved the music on this one… Amazing how a mere song can instantly put you in a reverent and hopeful and even joyous frame of mind, and cause you to remember the reason for the season…
I’m so glad you talked about the laundry, I can TOTALLy empathize! Those mysterious stains happen to me too. I am constantly baffled by my friends with young kids, and all their clothes always look bright and have no stains.. ever. I thought that I just didn’t know how to do laundry… but really, how hard is it to do laundry? It is nice to hear that I have company in this laundry plight.
Happy Advent!
We have a couple mountains of laundry in our house right now, so I totally understand. I only have two girls and the white sock problem is HUGE. DD11 is right between me and DD7 in sock size and they all look the same. We have that red oxidized clay here and it drives me bananas.
The think I have found to work the best on grease stains on shirts (my kids eat very messily) is OxyClean. Seriously. It actually works. DD7 LOVES to “Oxy” (I guess it’s a verb) everything that goes into the wash but I have to limit her to the stuff that actually needs it. You also have to be VIGILANT about looking at all your shirts before laundering, because once the grease is in there you (usually) might as well throw it away, unless you want to use it as a work shirt. Once in awhile I can get away with making it go away on the second wash.
I sound like a commercial for OxyClean, but they are the best I’ve found so far.
Good luck!
