‘Catholic Moments’ Third of Five New Podcasts to Join SQPN

CONYERS, GA – In celebration of the remaining days of Advent, the Star Quest Production Network (SQPN.com) – the Internet’s most popular portal for Catholic podcasts – has announced Catholic Moments as the third of five new shows being added to their line-up of popular affiliate podcasts.

Catholic Moments“In 2007 we expanded SQPN’s line-up of original productions through new and exciting original video and audio productions like Healthy Catholic and Godspeed,” says Greg Willits, Chief Operations Officer of SQPN. “But as a leader in Catholic New Media, one of the best things about SQPN is the relationships we form with other independent Catholic podcasters.”

“SQPN has always strived to have unique and varied programming that reaches audiences of all kinds,” says Fr. Roderick Vonhögen, founder of SQPN. “We are delighted to welcome Lisa Hendey to the Star Quest Production Network. Lisa combines many talents in one unique personality: she is a catholic mom, a web junkie, a very active blogger and a podcaster. In her ‘Catholic Moments’ podcast, she shares tips on how to turn every single moment of your busy life into a moment that counts!”

Podcasts, which are similar to radio shows, are free, downloadable audio and video files that can be listened to or viewed on computers or portable media devices such as MP3 players, CD players, and iPods. SQPN currently has over 30 original and syndicated podcasts as a part of their Catholic podcast programming.

Catholic Moments is a weekly podcast featuring interviews about family life, books, movies, music, personal productivity, career stuff, fitness and more from a Catholic perspective.

“I am thrilled to be joining the SQPN family,” says Lisa Hendey, host of Catholic Moments. “As an SQPN fan and listener from the network’s inception, I have grown so much spiritually and personally from listening to and watching the various SQPN productions. My main mission with my Catholic Moments Podcast is to celebrate our faith, to uplift Catholic families, and to journey towards Christ with my listeners. I know that joining SQPN will help spread the word about the many resources available for Catholic families. I feel blessed to be affiliated with such a talented, creative, and faith-filled group of men and women.”

  5. Welcome Lisa Hendey!

I’ve been enjoying listening to your very calming, pleasant speaking voice on your Catholic Moments podcasts for several months now.

I especially appreciate your natural ability to interview and to attain as much information from the interviewee to inform us, the listeners, in the variety of topics you cover.

It’s great to know that I can find you here at SQPN and have you right alongside my other favorites: The Rosary Army and That Catholic Show. I enjoy Fr. Roderick and praise him for his amazing work in bringing podcasting into the world of Internet podcast media, youTube, and all other means which may come about in the future. God love you and keep you in His perfect peace, Fr. Roderick!!!!!!!!!

My family “quit” cable television approx. two months ago; it was just pulling our family in too many directions and causing us not to communicate and to be more and more distracted with the world, My husband and I have two young children, ages five and four, and even in trying to select the most benign kids’ shows for their ages, evil still creeps in through subtle ways. (sounds a lot like that cunning serpent at the beginning of the Bible!

My husband and I are non-subscribers to newpapers, television, and the all important weather forecasts. But thanks to the Internet, we find out the pertinent information of our day and move on.

I especially love having my daily “high” of the Catholic faith, through podcasts.

You all are the very beginnings of this great time to evangelize, and I’m glad that you and all SQPN ipod creators have been given the passion to share the God-given talents and the gift to use your hobbies to give to us listeners the hope that is to come. Jesus now and forever!

God Bless you, your family, and ALL SQPN podcast-creators in the endeavor to open wide the doors to evangelize the world through the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church!

In the love of our brother, Jesus, our Father, and the Holy Family, I welcome your arrival to this family (SQPN)!

    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth Walsh
