SQPN New Year’s Podcast Marathon!

Podcast Marathon

Celebrate the New Year with SQPN!

SQPN – the Star Quest Production Network – will be holding an unprecedented 19 hours of online podcasting on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2007.

The event, hosted by podcasters and podcast affiliates of SQPN.com, will start at 5AM EST with Fr. Roderick Vonhögen, the founder of SQPN, recording back-to-back episodes of his popular Daily Breakfast Podcast.

Throughout the day, other SQPN podcasters and podcast affiliates will record live versions of their shows on uStream, a website that allows people from around the world to easily watch live streaming video with the click of a button.

“We’ve conducted live events online before,” says Greg Willits, SQPN Chief Operations Officer. “But this is definitely a first for Catholic podcasting to have almost 24-hours of non-stop podcasting online.”

The SQPN New Year’s Podcast Marathon is in celebration of wrapping up the 2008 Giving Campaign for the apostolate.

“We’ve had a tremendous response from over 500 people to help us fund the next year of exciting Catholic programming,” says Fr. Roderick. “We’re hoping that by ringing in the New Year all around the world with this marathon of great Catholic podcasts will help us reach our goal for 2008.”

Fr. Roderick will also celebrate Mass at 5 PM EST (11 PM his time) to give thanks for a productive year for SQPN and to ask for God’s blessing on SQPN’s initiatives for 2008. The podcast marathon will then continue from SQPN’s United States headquarters with the hosts of the Rosary Army Catholic Podcast, Greg and Jennifer Willits, as well as other SQPN Podcasters.

Audience members are encouraged to join in the fun by watching and chatting with other SQPN audience members on SQPN’s website at www.SQPN.com

  8. Dear SQPNers,
Wishing you a very happy, fruitful and productive 2008, I’m afraid I cannot afford to sponsor you as the transfer costs from Gibraltar to the EU account is more than I can afford to give, however I can promise you that I will pray for you once a week at Mass and holy hour throughout this year. If you have any specific prayer requests, do let me know.

Many blessings and a very happy new year , its already 2am here! Thanks for all your good work!

  10. Congratulations! Happy New Year and God bless you for the incredible work you all do at SQPN. I began listening to the Daily Breakfast shortly after it began. A couple of months later I joined our parish’s RCIA class. I was welcomed into the Catholic Church the following Easter. My children have since been baptized and celebrated their First Communion this year. Thank you for touching our lives!

  11. Congratulations on another successful campaign! It took a lot of hard work but you never lost your faith. I enjoyed the marathon tremendously. It gave the SQPN shows another dimension. Very cool. All the best for 2008 to Fr. Roderick, The Willits and all the SQPN shows!
