Thousands Celebrate 2008 New Year On Ustream.TV
The good people of uStream.tv posted this article on their blog:

“Last night Ustream was BY FAR the most happening place on the web to celebrate 2007 and the arrival of 2008.
Tens of thousands of you joined the numerous live concerts, events, podcasts and celebrations with us. I know I personally had a blast.
The highlight of the night was Rock legend Paul Rodgers LIVE in Concert. This was brought to Ustream by our friends at EQ.TV and it was a smash hit. We saw unreleased concert footage and a special interview live with the former Bad Company lead singer.
Congressman Dennis Kucinich also celebrated with Ustream bringing us his “Resolution For Peace” event. Numerous bands and artists performed for his supporters around the country in preparation for the Iowa primaries.
We were also treated with several hours of great Salsa dance and music by Salsaunlimited.com!
Playcafe.com hosted a special New Year’s Eve gameshow. Playcafe is the internet’s first live gameshow on the net. Viewers get to answer a series of questions to win prizes. I’ve played a few times and its a blast!
Finally, the great people at SQPN (www.sqpn.com) did a New Year’s Eve podcasting marathon to raise money for their 2008 events. From my understanding they raised $14,000 in donations yesterday alone! Fr. Roderick and Greg Willits congrats!”
SQPN wants to thank uStream.tv for their great, innovative work to bring the world together via their service; it gave many of us an experience of community we will not quickly forget!

Remarkable! It’s very cool that each of us, by logging in throughout the day, became a little part of history!
Thanks to all you good folks at SQPN, and of course, special thanks to the devoted, loyal, random and accidental visitors to all the wonderful shows.
