Catholic:Under The Hood #142 - Sing Along With Fr. Seraphim

Anthony and the Donkey

We round up the Christmas and post-Christmas season with humor and song as we look at an interesting French medieval tradition known as the Festum Asinorum and learn not only what it had to do with the Christmas message but also why your not likely to see it celebrated today! Plus, there appears to be a solution to last episode’s tea dilemma.

  1. LOL! I confess I didn’t know WHAT to expect following your lengthy disclaimer warning about upcoming uses of the *gasp* a-word… LOL - what a fun episode! I personally didn’t do very well at the sing-along, but must say I am exceedingly grateful that we don’t currently celebrate the Donkey Fest. :D
Have fun with the start of your semester - take care sliding over to chapel…

  2. I think what made me laugh out loud was when you said “I’m going to use the A word A-hole lot”. That’s how I heard it and I thought “Scandalous” then giggled to myself.

  3. @krishna,

    Oops I didn’t realize I did that :) I hope I don’t have to give the podcast a pg-13 rating.
