Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Irish Catholics celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day on March 15 this year, because of the Holy Week…
And the rest of the world’s Catholics just skip Saint Patrick’s feastday this year (the Holy Week takes precedence over any other liturgical feast). But that doesn’t stop many people from celebrating the Irish saint today, so on behalf of all the SQPN podcasters: Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! May Saint Patrick, through his intercession, help you in your walk with Christ during this Holy Week!
Fr. Roderick

Can’t speak for Ireland…but my understanding is that St. Patrick’s Day was supposed to be celebrated 14 March. This is because 15 March was the SOLEMNITY (not a memorial, or even a feast) of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary–moved from 19 March.

@Jeff, in the U.S. it was celebrated on March 14th, but in Ireland it was celebrated on March 15th with Rome’s permission.
