So glad the Daily Breakfast is back!!
So nice to have you back! Makes sitting at my desk and working much more pleasant! You still sound very under the weather, so please rest and take care. Lisa
I *TOTALLY* agree that Seven was an utterly dark and hopeless movie. I left it feeling utterly numb myself.
I suppose there might be some merit in accurately describing such a state of despair and nihilism — truly Hell on earth — but I do not know that I can stand much of it.
JeeJ! Fr. Roderick your back!!
Fr - I think you have had heart-aches over the in-flight entertainment, service and worm-laden food on Northwest Airlines. Turns out they are just one step away from merging with Delta. Sounds, in fact, like Delta is taking them over. Maybe the next time you come this way, things will be a little better. Just a little….
Good to have you back on the mic Fr. Roderick.
Hope whatever little bit of illness you have goes away soon.

Terry H beat me to the news: Worm-food Northwest is merging with Delta. Let’s hope the miles you earned on that Northwest flight will transfer over to Delta.
It’s really good to hear your voice in the morning again. Glad to have you back!
I think it was a Continental flight that had a worm…do I win the Daily Breakfast Trivia challenge?
You are correct, it was Continental. Since you are the first one to notice this, you win the ‘early bird’ price.
I so agree about “No Country”. I had converted it for my ipod Touch, but had to turn it off after the first 10 minutes. It was so horribly dark and frightening, I just couldn’t watch it. I don’t get the point of making a movie like that. It won all kinds of awards but leaves you feeling awful. I’m not a “Polyanna” person but a little balance is good.
Thank you for the review.
Based on these two reviews of “No Country”…I can cross that one off my list.
Here’s another good link for the Pope’s visit.

It has live coverage and recordings of the live coverage if you missed something live.
Thanks SQPN for the “online community”.
I haven’t seen “No Country…” but I did see “Seven” when it was first in the theater. On leaving the theater I looked at my companion and said: “I don’t care how well made it is, or how truthful it is, that movie should never have been made”. I don’t know that I have ever felt more drenched in evil.
For a different take on the underside of life I have been cautiously enjoying “Breaking Bad” on AMC. It’s pretty raw but it’s an interesting look at what might make good people go the wrong way.
for so long, for so many days without DB. woooo. u r finally back. so welcome and keep up the work.
