  1. Regarding the question of non-Catholics and reconciliation: How can one be reconciled to a Church, of which he/she is not a member in the first place…?

I wonder if the question had to do with whether a non-Catholic can sit down with a priest for a catharsis/counseling session, as opposed to actually receiving sacramental absolution. As far as I know, the answer to this is an emphatic YES!

Also–excellent article by an excellent columnist: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/04/in_praise_of_criticism.html

  2. Fr. Roderick, I saw the Pauw & Witteman broadcast and i thought it was very good. I thought it was funny to hear you in Dutch, when all other times i hear you in English! :) It was a good question that the minister of education asked!

    Hear you tomorrow! ;-)

  3. Hi Fr. Roderick. Love your podcast! I’m from Winnipeg and have been listening since discovering SQPN shortly before you visited Winnipeg. It was great to hear you attend the Moose hockey game and describe it to your listeners!

I enjoyed the education in this podcast about the various catholic sacraments. I was wondering if you could elaborate on a future show the reason/rationale why Eastern Orthodox Christians are allowed to participate in catholic Communion but not Christians from other denominations? I’d've thought that celebrating communion together would be one way to unite Christians of all denominations?

Keep up your wonderful teaching in this great podcast ministry!

    Blessings,
