  1. My favorite episode so far….

    After the Bible and the Catechism, do any of you have a “Top Ten” type list of good Catholic literature to read? I’m thinking original sources - St. Augustine, etc. - not books that sum them up.

    Thanks :-)

  2. I can think of several off hand:

    1. Story of a Soul (St Therese of Liseux)
    2. Dark Night of the Soul (St John of the Cross)
    3. True Devotion to Mary (St Louis de Montfort)
    4. Imitation of Christ (Thomas Kempis)
    5. Way of Perfection (St Teresa of Avila)
    6. Any papal encyclical (www.vatican.va under “Holy Father”)
    7. The Practice of the Presence of God (Brother Lawrence)

    Additionally…highly recommend anything by Dr Scott Hahn, “By What Authority?” by Mark Shea, and “The Bad Catholics’ Guide to Good Living” & “The Bad Catholics’ Guide to Wine, Whiskey, and Song” (the latter two are very orthodox, fun reads about Catholic culture and history…don’t let the titles scare you off :-). )

  3. Some of the works he lists are available from SQPN for online reading or download for use on desktops, handhelds and smart phones. Check here - http://saints.sqpn.com/indexebk.htm

  4. Hi,

    Thanks for this show. I enjoyed it. Could you provide the links for bible study that were mentioned? Thanks!

    @Jessica

    I am just reading the autobiography of St. Theresia of Avila. It is making a big impression on me and helped me to improve my relationsship with Jesus.

    I am looking forward to hearing the next show!
