Grace Before Meals #6 - Easy Bread!
Welcome to the fifth installment of Grace Before Meals video webisodes featuring Fr. Leo Patalinghug. Co-produced by SQPN.com and GraceBeforeMeals.com.
Join Father Leo Patalinghug in the kitchen at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland as he jumps into the kitchen and dives into our Catholic faith. Bring your appetite. You’re going to get hungry! In this episode Fr. Leo shows you how to make quick, easy, and delicious bread to go along with your meals!
Want to make it yourself? Here’s the recipe:
Grilled Bread (serves as many pieces as a person can eat!)
Regular hot dog buns (or any type of bread for that matter)
salt, pepper, garlic powder or freshly minced, rosemary, parsley
olive oil
Heat a grill pan with some olive oil and season oil with the rest of ingredients, OR lightly drizzle evenly olive oil over each piece of bread and spread the rest of the ingredients over each piece of bread. Place bread on hot grill pan for 1 minute on each side, careful not to burn the bread. Flip sides and let cook for another 30 seconds to toast the other side of the bread. Remove and enjoy!

Thanks for the great show, Fr. Leo! I love the simplicity and wonderful flavors in the recipes. I’ve been trying to use up all leftovers and this bread recipe is great. I’ve discovered that left-over romaine lettuce (even if wilted)is great when broken up and sauted lightly in olive oil with some spices/herbs, diced oinon and some lemon juice and especially with slices of leftover sausage or any other cooked meat. I even added some old romaine while scrambling eggs and it was really good-I put it all in a microwave-warmed corn tortilla. Thanks again to you and the seminarians too.
More Grace Before Meals, please! I left a review on iTunes a couple of weeks ago. This is the best show yet!
I made it today, and everybody loved it!!
Thanks Father
