  1. This is a tough story to listen to and not become discouraged or disappointed. “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” sums it up pretty well.

Thanks for including a reminder on the good news of the saints that were doing the heavy lifting during those very dark times.

Parents be warned…this episode is not kid appropriate.

  2. Jim,

Thanks for the comment. In spite of all the problems, God is doing something very wonderful in the Church at this same time both in the lives of the saints I mentioned but also in the lives of some of those who have not yet been recognized as saints. I’ll have more in the next episode.

  3. Like many converts from evangelical Christianity, my knowledge of Church history jumped directly from Acts to Calvin and Luther (with a passing glance at Constantine). I have learned so much from your podcasts, and I appreciate that you DO tell the less pleasant parts of the doings of the past sinful leaders of the Church. Oddly, it makes me feel more hopeful about some of the band things happening now. Have you thought of writing a popular text on Church history?

  4. BAD things, not BAND things. For the BAND things happening in the Church, I find George Leite more to the point…

I would like also to express my gratitude the the SQPN Web wizards for eliminating my double chin in the amazing likeness that accompanies my posts.
