Fr.S.

I'd say divide up the episodes...like you did with the Vienna story.

Make it a mini-series. The story could be recorded by you in one sitting. Then subdivide it into more frequent segments of 20 to 30 minutes each. When someone gets a block of time to listen to podcasts....they could choose to listen to multiple segments...or get back to the next segment at another time.

Kind of like writing in short paragraphs that are easier to read and understand.

Switching gears (notice the automobile jargon for CUTH), I do think they are lessons learned for most major events in history that relate to being diligent on watching for corruption, power grabs, and complacency when it comes to dealing with evil doers and evil deeds.

Jim,

You make some good points about length and I would like to address that problem. I would like to get each episode back to around 30 minutes in length - so I'm wrestling with either cutting back on the amount of information or dividing up episodes.

Wow! Second to The Bible as the most translated book in history. Plus an important source to John Paul I, St. Ignatius Loyola, Billy Graham, John Wesley, John Newton, and Thomas Merton. All that in 400 pages for less than $10. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Side note to Fr. S., each one of your broadcasts makes me feel like I am sitting in on a college course (which is mostly good). A lot of information, names, facts, and details and 60 minutes long. I wonder if that overwhelms some listeners?

Since I know very little about Australian history and the Catholic Church, any topic would be fresh from my perspective. Positive endings would be particularly helpful if you are trying to tap into some of the enthusiasm from WYD.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

There are lots of interesting stories about the Catholic Church in Australia. Sounds like a great idea for a CUTH episode. Thanks!

Hello Fr. S.

Any intersting historical stories about Australia? Or Catholics in Australia? Or a story on a British citizen that was exported to Australia and made positive changes in his/her choices once they made it to Australia?
