I also have a recommendation on the Napoleonic era naval fiction reading topic--I'd recommend Naomi Novik's Temeraire novels. The idea is that in addition to land and sea forces, there are dragon corps fighting for and against Napoleon. That's right, dragons!! They are very imaginative and engaging, definitely a fun read. The first book is called "His Majesty's Dragon." Also, on keeping your marriage strong--my wife and I started saying Night Prayer from the Liturgy of Hours/Divine Office when we were dating (mostly by phone, but it's short (5 minutes) so it is easily doable). The series illustrates some interesting dilemmas and how different character use positive or negative values/actions to address them. There is also some very well spoken English in the movie-did anyone else notice the difference between the reading of the Bible verses for the funerals when Horatio reads them versus another character?
