Joe, The iTunes version was fine for me….
Hi, Father Roderick!
Since you are still roaming Middle Earth online, can we expect more episodes of the Secrets of the Lord of the Rings?
I too have helped my parents navigate the newer technologies of cell phones and e-mail. I most often get tech calls from them regarding their computer and the Internet. Ocassionally I have to stop by after work to see what they have done to it. I will say that my dad’s family is more connected than ever now. We stay up with family happenings and prayer needs via email. My dad talks with his brothers and sisters more often on his cell.

Regarding roaming charges Fr, as of last year give or take the European Union decided to ask the mobile operators to limit their roaming prices or they would face mandatory regulation. Needless to say the operators didn’t like the sound of that and got their act together, now using your mobile while roaming is much much much cheaper than it used to be, obviously this only applies to usage within the European Union member states.
What still is expensive is data usage, 3 (my UK operator) charge me around £4 a MB on the continent… texting is still relatively expensive at 25p a text but picture/video messages cost the same so they’re much better value (1000+ characters plus media).
Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying your time in Portugal.
God bless.
