very much enjoyed this podcast. one thing others have noted about this chapter is that when Harry sees the sword at the bottom of the pool it would have looked like a shimmering cross.

I have also heard John Granger refer to Ron as 'Ron the Baptist' due to his role in this chapter.

I would like to hear your thoughts on the above and in any event I hope that there will be another podcast soon.

I don't know whether you guys have ever thought about that: Harry is the seeker in his quidditch team but he is also a seeker in his world. He is the key to beat Voldemort, just like he's the key to get his team win. If he succeeds in getting the snitch, his team will surely win the game. In the wizarding world, if he can locate all the horcruxes and destroy them, the good side will almost win. That's like a metaphor.

BTW, did you guys compare Harry's life with Voldemort's before? Both of them are orphans, raised by muggles, able to talk to snakes, without any friends when they are small, often bullied by older kids, go into Hogwarts when they are both 11, take Hogwarts as their home... But Harry responses by running away from the kids that bullying him while Tom trys to scare them away. Harry trys to help a poor snake to escape instead of using it...
I think J. K. Rowling trys to show people that it is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. That's in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

I wondered if this podcast was ever going to return - glad to see a current episode...As in-depth as the books are, I wish these podcasts were more frequent. There is potentially a life-long supply of material that could be juxtaposed between the series and religion/life's lessons. Those that value your work in these podcasts are not as vocal as we should be and our thanks is not said enough but I imagine I speak for many in saying thank you & that we would love to see this podcast updated every week at least. The quality of material, integration of beautiful music (Claire Fitch's cello was superb) within the book's chapter readings, and the topics elaborated upon sure outshine the other available HP podcasts that are basically run by kids that seem more interested with their own rise in popularity (with a little help from JKR's vocal intro) by discussing mundane (at times, juvenile) points of interest and offer severely distorted live recordings that convey so little introspection of what the author had intended to enrich the reader's experience with. Keep up the great work, and PLEASE keep them rolling in more often.
