I don’t know, Father, as a person with hair that is VERY much this kind, I think “frisky” is a pretty good decision.
My daughters occasionally watch a BBC programme which is almost the opposite of the programme you described. It is called “Snog, Marry, Avoid” and the basis of the programme is showing people (of both sexes, but mostly female) how much more attractive they are by wearing less makeup and adornments, and clothes that better suit their bodies.
Off-topic – Father, I thought of you when I read this article in my local paper this morning about six Dutch kids who have come to my town to play American football and try to get noticed by American universities. http://www.idahostatesman.com/sports/story/515663.html
So, “frisky” often means full of energy, lively, or playful. As related to hair, I believe you mean “frizzy”, which can mean curly or sticking out all over the place. English has got to be so confusing!
It could be part of the new viral campaign-
“Got frisky hair? Check out the Daily Breakfast at sqpn.com for much more the latest conditioner….”
Sorry, left out the word “than” in my recent post; it should say “much more than the latest conditioner”, and yes, I probably didn’t understand exactly what a viral campaign was but I still like the “frisky” hair description!
