  1. Hi Father Roderick -

    Great show, as usual!

I think I speak for most of us when I say go ahead and take tomorrow off, rest up for your presentation that you need to deliver.

Take care, God Bless, and get well soon!

  2. Hi, Fr Roderick. Thanks for the advice on appropriate response to the desecration videos on YouTube.

Your voice sounds hoarse! You might want to try Manuka Honey. It’s very good for sore throats. Have just prayed for you. Hope you’ll get well soon!

  3. Father Roderick -

I suspect you’re getting quite a bit of cold remedy information, because, quite frankly, you sound awful. I fully appreciate that most unsolicited advice is neither useful, nor accurate; but I pass along my own remedy, nonetheless.

Elder berry extract is a homeopathic anti-viral remedy. It destroys the protein coating of the virus, allowing your body to heal itself naturally. I use a teaspoon every 4 hours and it usually gets me back on my feet in a day. I put it in water/tea/juice and even add sugar when giving it to my 4-year old. According to Wikipedia, Elder berry is native to North America, but you can probably find it bottled in most health food stores.

Also, coconut oil on crackers, while tasty, is also good for the immune system.

    Be well,
    Laura

  4. Daily Breakfast 559. Hope you voice is back soon but you are missing an important ingredient for your tea and honey. Try a zap of Ky Bourbon. As a side note the cradle of the Catholic church west of the Allegheny Mountains is Bardstown Ky and that is where the best bourbon comes from too. Hope you can visit our own “Little Holy Land” where the pioneer priests lay the foundation for many dioceses.
    God bless,
    Judy

  5. Will add my remedy to the rest… a little warm water and salt gargle will at least make your throat feel better if not cure it.
The desecration of hosts is horrifying but I think it’s a stretch to relate it to Google’s stand on Prop 8 or to “liberals” in general.
There are many liberal Catholics and throughout the history of the Church, many of it’s stances have been labelled liberal.
