Interesting timing, Father! I am currently teaching a unit on “songlifting” to my 6th grade music students. I asked them how many of them took a grape from the grocery store from time to time. I also asked them why they don’t steal from a store. We have had some very interesting discussions, and the answers are often “because there are security cameras” or “it’s just one grape.” I am hoping that by the end of next week, they will understand the depth of illegal downloading has on the industry and their own lives. It was nice to hear something on your show that I was currently immersed in!
What if it is Matallica and they will just use the money to sue someones grandma?:)
I’m so glad that the Creative Commons was invented because the music industry has become it’s own worst enemy.
I’m sure the poor judgment and immorality of the music industry is an entirely separate topic.(DRM,Gangta Rap,not wanting to pay artists)
