  1. Hi Father Roderick!

I think I’ve sent you this info before, but I use the website http://www.sparkpeople.com to count my calories, keep track of my exercise and learn a lot about health and wellness in general. It’s a very user-friendly site where a person can add their own food to the database if it’s not quite the same as the American version supplied. It also offers a metric conversion tool so a person like myself (from Canada) can know that 250ml = 1 cup! I highly recommend this site to all the listeners. Check it out! It’s completely free to join!

May God bless you all and help you on your journey to becoming and remaining a healthy, happy you!

  2. Hi Father, could you please share the link to the Dutch calorie counting website that you referred to?

  3. You’re answer to my question was very motivating! I’m definitely keeping that mp3!

  4. I’m on SparkPeople, too and I just love it! I was just tweeting that I was logging into Sparkpeople and listening to your podcast. I was on your home page, though, and I wanted to tweet the post page link, so I clicked on the heading and came in here and saw you saying that you use SparkPeople, too! That was kinda funny – and connected and connected… Round Robin’y connections! Love the net! :)

  5. Fr Roderick,

One thing I’ve learnt – just because it appears you are gaining weight, it does not necessarily mean you are “falling off the wagon” so to speak. If you are building up muscle, it will appear you are gaining weight. The best indication is your clothes – if they appear to be getting looser, you are probably losing weight. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, but also takes up less room than fat. (Think lead weight versus feather pillows.) So don’t lose heart if it looks like you are not losing weight fast enough.

    Cheers,
    Lyn
