SaintCast #116 – Fr. Damien to be Canonized

Great news from Rome this week, that Blessed Fr. Damien de Veuster, the priest to the lepers of Molokai is to be canonized in October.  On this SaintCast we interview Ken Bath of the ROMCAL.net website, about his program to bring the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar to the masses.A surprise “visit” by Paul’s wife Karen, St. Raphael and the fish, SQPN giving campaign, Catholic New Media Conference, and saintly quote from Francis Xavier on this week’s SaintCast.

  2. I knew it would only be a matter of time before Blessed Fr. Damien would be elevated to join the ranks on the Saints. A man of his humility and love of the outcast certainly personifies Christ. It is a beautiful day for the Church to have such a witness among us.

  3. In a sense, Fr. Damien, was like a male Mother Teresa, as he too cared for the sick and for those who were looked down upon in society.
