Fr.,
I enjoyed hearing your passion for vocations. Best of luck with your new committee.
I look forward to hearing your new viral idea. I hope you produce it in English as well as in Dutch.
Tim
This was an AWESOME episode, Father!!! Thank you for being such an amazing priest! It is a great ’soapbox’ to be on!
I always find it amusing how you feel compelled to explain where Belgium or the Netherlands actually are located.
I wonder if you have really listeners that wouldn’t know.
God bless.
Well Stefan, you’d be surprised. I’m from the US and even though I attend a fairly prestigious university I honestly could not label a map of Europe. (Don’t worry, they teach us in grade school; we just forget.)
I stumbled upon SQPN while trying to find info on Saints (and their feast days) and am SUPER EXCITED about Catholic New Media. Also, though I need to work on geography, as a Computer Science major I hope to be one of those tech-savvy Catholics we heard about in the podcast.
On a side note, does SQPN sound like SQPR to anyone else?

I, too, enjoy hearing your passion for both vocations and for how new media can play a role in vocations & in evangalization in general. It’s a soapbox worth being on!
I agree too. I am in the middle of discerning my vocation and it’s always great to hear of the importance of priests in our world today and the importance of not being afraid. Thanks Fr. Roderick!!
I’m emailing you some audio feedback. I finally got a microphone for my computer.
Father, I also support a group who are working with teen ministry and have some outstanding video, among these are a different take on vocations to the church. You must “walk the walk and talk the talk” in order to connect. Please drop by their web-site and see for yourself. I wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t already connected. http://www.outsidedabox.com Also, just to let you know, I’m a “baby boomer” but do see the writing on the wall. Love your show.
For an example of a great vocations video, check out Fishers of Men at http://www.grassrootsfilms.com/main.html They aren’t a Catholic film company, they just happen to be all Catholic and this is a fantastic video to help promote vocations. I think there are copies of it on youtube if the trailer interests you. Their newest production is The Human Experience.
Father: Do you have any similar presentations given in English, and if so, could you post them? I would love to hear the presentation that you gave in Belgium, if I could understand it!
