Father Roderick, it’s wonderful to hear you talking about Twitter once again. It’s an incredible tool (a human generated feed of information and conversation) that I have aggressively used for two years now. So good to see you using it more as a place for conversation!
I am posting this note here to clarify, there are numerous ways to find “Catholics” on Twitter. The best, IMHO, and not based on sign-up with yet another social network site, is Twellow: http://www.twellow.com/search.php?q=catholic. The Twellow directory has been serving the Twitter community for almost two years now. I find it to be a fantastic resource for finding like-minded folks on Twitter.

I wanted to make a comment regarding your response to the question of eating meat on Wednesday during lent. I am a Byzantine (Ruthenian) rite Catholic in the United States, and we are required to abstain from meat on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout Lent. This rule is binding for all members of our Eparchy (Diocese) who receive Communion, including children. I just wanted to get my plug in there for “the rest” of the Church.
