  1. I loved this podcast! Congratulations on your successes! I’ve also been a late to bed person. You made it sound so easy to get up in the morning! Every time I try to get up early (especially if it’s still dark), I’m dead tired by 11 am. Can you give any tips to us more feeble people?
    Thank you!

  2. Yea! Another Healthy Catholic podcast! Thanks Fr. Roderick!

I was wondering when you’d do another one of these. Congratulations on the good progress during your Lenten journey to healthiness. You’ll make your “perfect weight” yet!

  3. Hey Father I am starting to run on the treadmill at the gym I run for about 4 minutes and then walk about three, I am just wondering did you start out full running or did you work up to it?

  4. Sarah, great to hear that you started running. I recommend Hal Higdon’s website (http://www.halhigdon.com) for very reliable information on how to build up your stamina and distances.

I recommend you start with this 30/30 program:
    http://www.halhigdon.com/beginrunner/plan.htm

After that, move on to the 5K schedule. You will be amazed to see how fast you will make progress!

It’s a good idea to consult your doctor to rule out any cardiovascular problems, and get yourself a good pair of running shoes (go to a specialized store where they can give you specific advice).

  5. Thanks for another Healthy Catholic father! The program that keeps us all inspired! :)
