  1. I liked hearing about Santiago de Compostela. Although I have never done the Camino, we did visit Santiago in April. Like Deborah said, not too many Americans know about it, unfortunately. Very nice, albeit too crowded to get to “hug” the statue of St. James.

    Something else I learned is that this area of Spain is actually Celtic (Galacia) and they even have their own version of the bagpipe.

  2. Actually, the Celtic tradition was very interesting and the bag pipers were playing in the background when I was standing in front of the Cathedral for the first time.

    The group I was hanging out with stumbled upon this quirky cultural tour in Santiago. We are in a cemetery with a nice view of the skyline of Santiago.
