SaintCast #122, A Saint named Bede

Today we profile the Venerable Bede,  a huge influence in the world from ‘the Dark Ages,’  all from a small monastery in England.  From the timing of Easter to English translation of the Bible and other works, to tables of the tides, Bede left his mark on the world. Hear Fr. Z. from ‘What Does the Prayer Really Say,’ and from Fr. Reginald Foster, ‘the pope’s Latinist,’ from Radio Vatican.  A new Saint Jeopardy quiz (another chance to win a T-shirt), a Saint Joke, and more on SaintCast #122.

  1. Thanks for your kind words, Paul. Though I noticed that you neglected to mention that the REASON you’ve been waiting so long to do a podcast about the V. Bede is that I first promised to send it to you well over two years ago!
