Catholic:Under The Hood #200 – The King and The Church
It’s Episode #200 and what a better topic than The King! Elvis’ had a scandalous and an inspirational relationship with the Catholic faith from the beginning of his musical career until it’s end. Indeed he continues to inspire some Catholics in different ways today. Plus, the CNMC and Bears. A special thanks to all of the listeners, here’s to another 200 episodes!

What’s That??? Elvis sings about the Rosary?
Thanks for the humorous episode!!
… and Congratulations on recording Episode 200.
I’ll leave a voice mail too.
I may be heading back to Steubenville this week for another project. If so, I’d like to invite you for a celebratory meal at “The Ville” or other establishment … if you are available while I’m in town.
I’ve had Elvis’ “Miracle of the Rosary” in my iTunes library for quite a while. I think he does a very reverant rendition of the Hail Mary. Too bad he didn’t record an actual rosary recitation of all the mysteries. That would have been fabulous!
Thank you, Elvis, for having the courage to tell the world, “Yes, real men do indeed pray the rosary.”
Hey Fr. Seraphim, congratulations on your 200th podcast!!
Thanks for the Elvis info, very interesting! I remember seeing something about a Fr. Peyton, I believe that was his name, being very active in Hollywood with the many Catholic stars at that time..I think that was in the late fifties or so. I wish the Church had continued to influence Hollywood. I knew the man who was studio manager under Jack Warner and Warner supposedly said to him after the making of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, “I think it’s time to get out of Hollywood!”
Hooray! congratulations on episode #200 – you’re amazing!!
Congratulations Fr. Seraphim!
