I don’t know about other parts of the world, but it is pretty common in America for high rises to not have a 13th floor. In fact, I don’t ever recall seeing a floor labeled ‘13′. It is a just an old superstition and I’m not sure that many folks take it seriously anymore beyond the tradition of it.

And in a Dutch evangelical hymnal (de Opwekkingsbundel), they skipped song No. 666

I have good memories of this particular number … When my first niece got baptised, I took a picture at the very moment the water was poored out on her head. And the file name of that picture turned out to be … DSCN0666.JPG! Probably the last attempt of the devil to do something against it
