“Pax Tecum Filumena,” SaintCast #127, the mysterious St. Philomena

The bones found in the tomb in the catacombs of St. Priscilla were moved to Naples, and shortly thereafter amazing miracles began happening.  What do we know of St. Philomena?  Padre Pio generates solar power?Paul mourns the passing of his beloved black lab (yes, there’s a saint for that), a possible new miracle for Francis Xavier Seelos, greetings from saintly spots in Cornwall, and the Perseid meteor shower (St. Lawrence’s tears), all on SaintCast #127.

  1. I’m so sorry about the loss of your dog Lucy. We lost Bridgett in December and I can sure relate. Pets sure add to our lives, don’t they? :-)

  2. Thanks, Barb. One of these days I’m definitely going to do an expanded SaintCast on saints and their pets/animals. Some great stories there…St. Philip Neri, St. Francis, St. John Bosco, St. Rocco, many others

  3. Thank you so much for this ‘history’ about Santa Filomena!!
I am Portuguese, thus the spelling; my name is Maria Filomena and why it meant so much to me… Thank you very much!!
