In response to your discussion of the caller’s question about his wife’s mysterious phonecall, I know of a few persons who have had scary and mysterious phone activity that did not end until prayer took place. I agree with our down-to-earth approach first. Still, as Catholics we are aware that by the power of God, some souls in purgatory may make themselves known to us, and also that demons are tricky. My approach would certainly be to stay rooted in prayer and not allow something spooky to distract us from that. I will also say a prayer for your mother in law! God bless.
Thanks for this great episode of the Daily Breakfast!
Father Roderick… As usual your Halloween program rocks! Your introduction is a masterpiece of audio editing! Thanks for this Saturday edition and thanks for talking up the Communion of Saints and the Feast of All Souls.
Much like the listener feedback from the Star Wars in Concert call, a bad/weak signal could produce such an effect, personally I couldn’t tell if the voice was male of female. Was there a number in the recieved calls log? Secondly, it’s standard policy for many phone companies to delete voice mail within 2 weeks to free up server space.
I find it quirky that there is a lot of media attention on this “spooky” entertainment (they aren’t documentaries). Many are willing to acknowledge this yet can get “offended” about God-go figure. Why that when, as Catholics, we have the Communion of Saints at every Mass.
