"Mac" as the"the world" knows "him" is actually a cybernetic artificial sweetener intelligence from a dimension that we in our "world" share a pay toilet with on the Champs de Ellysses. "We" still aren't exactly sure why "he" ends up on a podcast most weeks. It's a mystery!

  1. Hi Mac & Katherine –
Just listened to this week’s show and had a comment about the new communion rules at your parish. Our diocese has discussed some of these same strategies to prevent the spread of the flu – no handshakes, no receiving from the cup, hand sanitizer, etc. My issue is this – I have celiac disease, so I can receive only from the cup. I realize that there are not a lot of people with this problem, but I can’t possibly be the only celiac Catholic. If the cup is not offered, I would not be able to receive at all. I would be heartbroken not to have the choice to receive the eucharist at Mass. I think that people can be trusted not to receive from the cup when they are sick and those who are not comfortable with the common cup can just avoid it, but the option shouldn’t be taken away from those of us who cannot receive the host. I haven’t talked to my priest about this, but I may talk to him just to make sure he knows that there are those who have this problem. I suspect that most people would not think of this side of the issue. Anyway, thanks for your show. I always enjoy it!
